“What’s the Story, Exploring the What, Why and How of Narrative Medicine”
Sept 16, 2022
Trent Center for Bioethics, Humanities, and History of Medicine
An in-depth exploration of narrative medicine and its relevance to caring for our patients and ourselves. What is it? Why is it essential to good clinical practice, and how can we use it to reduce moral injury and address critical issues raised during the past two years? Our session explored visual storytelling and the discomfort of the beholder/beholden lens to explore how narratives about a clinical encounter are constructed.
